LOCAL JUNO NOMINATED SINGER ENJOYS CASTING 'LIFELINES'

When it comes to producing music, it could be said that life got in the way for Terri Crawford. But the singer doesn't mind. Nor did it stop her from performing. On Friday, Oct. 5, Crawford, accompanied by songwriter/guitarist husband Rick Johnson and fellow bandmate Bryan Feland, she will showcase her smoky soulful vocals courtesy of tracks from her upcoming CD, tentatively titled “Lifelines” at the Common Grounds, 148 Kent St. W. The Terri Crawford and the Retro Rockets Unplugged show is part of the Windows on Main Street celebrations which are wrapping up this weekend. The show begins at 8:30 p.m.
"I was talking with CJ (Irwin) one day about how great it would be to do an acoustic night at Common Grounds," explained Johnson. "We've performed acoustically in the past, but we haven't done so for about a year. I thought it would be a idea, especially with what's going on right now."
Johnson is the Liberal candidate in the Oct. 10 provincial election. "I just love the whole Windows on Main Street concept. It's great for local artists and it's excellent for the downtown," added Johnson.
